Travel router

I did a search for this and didn't find anything so I thought I should start a new thread. The question is, what is everyone using or recommend for a travel router? I am looking for a good travel router that I can use in a hotel. In my search, I came across this, HooToo TripMate HT-TM05 Wireless Travel Router, 10400 mAh External Battery Charger Powerbank, Wi-Fi Media Streaming for Flash Drive and Hard Disk It seems to do what I want and more.

What problem are you trying to solve?

As in, what will you be using it for, to do what?

OK, here is the background.

Work wants me to run a project for a very large client based in Midtown Manhattan. After politely suggesting that I would shoot myself if they wanted me to commute to the city each day, they have offered to pay for a hotel room. It seems that they really want me to run this gig. I would probably stay at the hotel 3 or 4 nights a week.

There are some nice perks with having a place to stay in Midtown. In discussing it with my wife, she said she would probably take the train in almost every week and stay one or two nights.

In looking at how this may change some of my lifestyle, one of the big things is the pleasure that I derive from my home media center. So, I am looking for a good travel router that I can use in a hotel where I can set things up behind a NAT. The items that I will most likely use are:
  • Amazon Fire TV stick. This would connect to the flat screen in my room and is very easy to carry. The two main apps that I would use on the Fire TV stick are MLB TV (I am a premium subscriber) and Kodi for pre-recorded material.
  • Storage. I was wondering about the best way of having some type of portable NAS to hold movies & TV shows that wind up on my PVR at home. That is why I turned to the HooToo as it provides NAS capability right off of the router via a flash drive. I could copy files from my home NAS each week to a flash drive before heading into the city.

The HooToo looks like it should do the trick.

Never heard of them before but seems to have received good reviews.
