Well that looks like a Murphy plug.

Joe Bob 05-14-2015 02:22 PM

Arrrrr, Arrrrrrr...funny guy Glen. Figured it out, two prong plug that has been crushed.........DOH!

pete3799 05-14-2015 02:24 PM

Looks like a crushed Murphy plug to me.

Shaun @ Tru6 05-14-2015 02:35 PM

I've never seen an outlet for a plug like that. Maybe it's DC.

M.D. Holloway 05-14-2015 02:40 PM

Looks Asian

Joe Bob 05-14-2015 02:42 PM

How did you add another spade. Did you have to strip the cord the entire way and add in a wire too, then tape it all back up? What about the other end? Or do just ground to the floor, or couch with a sheet metal screw?

Joe Bob 05-14-2015 02:47 PM

There is another ground that passes by an actuator......

Shaun @ Tru6 05-14-2015 02:50 PM

Makes sense on getting the murphy bed to come down smoothly.

You know the law, if something can go plug it will go plug.

Joe Bob 05-14-2015 03:37 PM

This sucker wanted to kill me.....I put two four inch screws into three separate studs.......

yuppers, but I keep my bikes in there and other hobby stuff. Don't want to clutter it up with a bed that would be used less than 10 times a year. My office is bad enuff with clutter.

I used to have a 5,000 square foot house......

targa911S 05-15-2015 03:54 AM

thank goodness it's not one of these...http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1431690850.jpg

GH85Carrera 05-15-2015 04:18 AM

That does not look like an electrical plug.

scottmandue 05-15-2015 06:59 AM

Here, you need the matching plug for it (removed from rental remodel yesterday):

It is an antique and very rare but I will cut you a deal because you are a PPOT brother. ;)

That right there is an unbent Murphy plug. Not to be confused with a straight Murphy plug -- those are two separate animals.

BTW: your Murphy bed setup is wow. Just wow. Nice job!
