+3 - super powerful/flexible, although I found it hard to use some if its features.
I'm learning Logic X now, and the same applies there.

Thanks.
I think I had Audacity on a previous machine so I'll probably go with it again. I didn't want anything too complex or a trial period program that starts bugging me for money.
