Restaurant Serves Human Flesh...

Nigerian Restaurant Shut Down for Serving Human Flesh - Eater

Just seems like a lot of work not to mention the why factor.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuk!

Wtf kind of meat did they claim to be serving?

The world has gone insane!

Let's build a sweet spaceship and go find a new planet to live on. Only sane people would be allowed.

Remind me not to go to Nigeria. We're filming right now in Uganda and South Africa, we hired an outside consultant to be there.

My old HS Social Studies teacher used to travel a lot over the summers.

One year he did somewhere in Africa.

Told us about a restaurant he went to several times.

There was a dish he really liked.

First time he asked them what it was, they said beef.

Second time the waitress said it was chicken.

So of course he asked the third time and the cashier told him Pork.

He said he stopped asking, but whatever it was it was good.

I've known several people from various parts of Africa. Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and they all say the same thing - they are very glad to be here. Very glad. I asked a close friend once what he thought of the gang issue and race issue here and he said that the thugs here are pusses compared to thugs in Africa. Our toughest street thugs wouldn't last long in a tussle with what's over there. Talk about hard core. He also said the race issues here in the states is really sad but we really don't know racism compared to what he grew up with and saw. It's like a different planet.

Update 5/15; 11:24 p.m. EST: Though the BBC reported this story locally on Wednesday, 5/13, upon further review, we learned the story is over a year old and from a disputed source. We apologize for the error.
Still... There are some seriously effed up people in the world. I wouldn't be surprised if stuff like this does go on in some places. Africa is a seriously beautiful but seriously violent place. I have a good friend who lived over there for about 15 years. It's a different world. Most times I'm told it's great but you run a very real risk of being killed if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time, regardless of who you are. None of it makes much sense and you can't really figure it out easily (I guess issues / "wars" between factions can pop up pretty much overnight and without any warning).

Frustrating that the reporter - f it is a genuine story and not a hoax - didn't bother to ask the most interesting question raised by this situation:

What do people taste like?

Or the next: what's the best way to prepare?

I've read that human flesh tastes a lot like lean pork.

I ride my bike up a steep mountain road for exercise.
This year, there has been a dead dog laying in the ditch besides the road.
He has been slow to decompose, and for some reason has remained in pretty good shape for the past several months.
Last week, a car spun out of control and flipped skidding off the road.
They towed the car away and the only thing left were the skid marks.
I saw the skid marks and wondered what the odds are that the car swerved off at the exact same point as the dog.
Sure enough, as I pedalled up the hill, the car HAD swerved off at the exact point of the dog carcass and smeared it up the hill,
At that point, upon seeing the carcass, and smelling the smell, and gasping for breath from being out of shape, I thought of this thread.
And pretty much puked.
Thanks
