How to cut cable and watch auto racing???

Has anyone figured out a way to watch good auto racing without buying a cable plan?
I love being able to record and watch the races later, while fast forwarding commercials...

I don't like streaming because you have to be there "live" and you can't record the stream for later playback.

Are there any subscription services like Roku or Apple TV where you can pay to watch auto racing whenever you want?
I'm looking for F1, LeMans, Indycar, etc...

Auto racing is the only reason I keep cable TV. Otherwise I would have cancelled it long ago...

imsa.tv is how I get my fix on the big races.

You might be surprised at how many more non-tv related things you'll be doing once it's gone.

I thought I'd miss it, until I didn't. NetFlix and YouTube provide content that I/we want to watch when we want it. The way it should be

Think the Pirelli World Challenge has an archive on their site for current and past races.

Ya but lots of the live and archived stuff requires a current sub to allow you to watch on your device/PC etc... If a friend would let you borrow their ID/password, your options are wide: Le Mans will be on Fox sports Go. Or wait till the year after and netflix the DVD ;-(

I hope we move towards an "a la carte" model soon, HBO's recent offering is setting the tone - I bet they make a killing. I'd cut the cord if I could be bothered, but in all honestly, it's not THAT expensive for the convenience of a DVR recording all the live racing I want, and in the past I have found that while a lot can be had online, it's not as convenient to catch at the right time, or as complete, or immersive (and most of the time you get those annoying british commentators that are absolutely incapable of 1 second of silence). Good luck, looking fwd to suggestions in the thread...

Very good idea. Won't save that much money but the race will be in 3-D and smell-o-vision to boot.

NBCSN lets you watch about 40 minutes before requiring a subscription. I used all of my 40 minutes on the last half of the last F1 race.

I finally had it with Comcast. Bad service, and really bad shows. I don't want to support the over-the-top, overly dramatic hosts for all of the stupid Cable TV shows. I think the "look at meeee" attitude of Cable TV has a lot to do with what's wrong with our culture.

So I cancelled cable. F1 racing will have to get a lot better before I even consider watching it again.

Youtube has Blancpain, WEC, Tudor united sports car endurance racing, DTM, and various other racing series. You can torrent MotoGP and F1. I have been researching this very thing in the last couple of months in preparation for cancelling cable.

I at least can watch the F1 races on one of the spanish channels that are broadcast in my area. The dialog i do not understand so i turn down the volume and just watch.

Sadly that is the only race they seem to cover.

I refuse to pay for cable so i am stuck with broadcast. Honesty I do not miss it.
