I never considered myself lucky that my car was far from original with a 5-footer paint job, but maybe I am. If someone dings the door and it gets repainted, so be it. In fact, it'll probably improve it. No reason at all not to drive it.

My 964 and 914 2.0 have both gone up in value. Doesn't affect the style of driving though. It does help when I have to dump money into it to fix something.....just maintaining our investment

I have a 'valuable' car I don't drive and a salvage title car I drive the crap out of.
