Pelican doctors I need a diagnosis please

Our dryer stopped working and I knew what it was, every time lint builds up it shuts off. I pulled the dryer out so I could get behind it. Vacumned it out life was good. I was in an akward position behind the dryer trying to pull it back into the closet area. Then I heard a snapping/crunching noise coming from my right elbow ! I finished the job and my wife asked if I wanted to go to the ER but I said lets see how I feel tomorrow. I have full range of movement but there is some pain during movement. Seems when I try to turn my arm inward it hurts. Not real bad but hurts. So did I pull a muscle or tendon ? And if I did is there anything a doctor can do ? Seems to me it has to self heal . So what do you think ? I just popped two aspirin to see if that helps.

Maybe avulsed part of a muscle insertion. You should probably get it checked out, ice it down for now, 15 minutes out of every hour. Call your primary care guy today and see about getting referred to an ortho guy.

I detached my left bicep at the elbow while lifting. Heard a loud pop and muscles started to contort. Had surgery to re attach, now wear my watch on my right arm because I can't twist my left around enough to see the face. Get it checked out.

Uh, No. Sometimes we need to do something or we will lose something.

I think I know what it is.

You need to keep the dryer a bit further away from the wall so it can get more cool dry air into to it and less lint buildup.

Good luck with the elbow LOL It sounds like that tennis elbow muscular thing us old people get.

I agree, you must be tripping a thermal breaker of some kind.

I know - you just need a cool collar wrapped around the entire dryer!

Not enough info to say. Post a pic of where you feel the pain. What do you mean by turning your arm "inward"?

+1....and furthermore, if he'd gone fishin' (to plan his ceiling) after toiling in a hot attic all week (like I suggested), then we probably wouldn't even be reading this thread

But the injury sux....heal up fast (and I sure don't anymore)!

We are just a bunch sad old dudes trying to be young again. I broke my collarbone and 3 ribs 6 months ago and I though I never heal. Oh man, that one hurt like hell. That hell must be much greater after we turn 60?
