Had to book a restaurant a month ahead...
My daughter was aware that our anniversary was coming up. She had been to this restaurant called Corso 32 on Jasper Ave in Edmonton. She recommended it to us and so she booked a table for us and the nearest booking time was a month ahead.
So she booked it and we got there early. So early that the chef/owner was waiting to be let in at 5pm. We talked to him and he has Italian/German parents. When we got to the table there was champagne waiting for us. We ordered our food, short ribs(the best tasting and tenderest I have ever had), lasagna, chocolate torte and several other dishes. Best restaurant food I have ever had in Edmonton. Well worth the wait. Have you ever been to a restaurant that it took so long to get in? Guy |

I'm not patient enough for that! I think my mental limit would be about 1 week....
The popularity of some restaurants (especially the newly opened ones) is not necessarily based on the quality of food but because they are simply the new spot to be seen in. Now if a restaurant has been open for a year or more and it still needs a booking a month in advance then that is probably a reflection on the food and chef |

Three or four cars ahead of me at McDonalds is about all I can stand.

Some restaurants are worth it. This 2 star Michelin eatery in Athens for example . . .

There are a number of places in Metro NYC that you will need to make reservations a month (or more) ahead..
Even some established dinosaurs..... Peter Lugers on Friday or Saturday evenings prime seating's are reserved months ahead... Per Se, Le Bernadin so many awesome places to eat in the Metro NYC area...there are Pizza places that people wait on line for hours to get a pie.. first come first served... when they run out of dough there is a line full of disappointed people.. I remember when Jean George Vongerichten opened his first place in NYC (Vongs) ... my mother got me reservations for my January birthday.... In March... And you cant walk in to 11 Madison Park and expect to get a table....
