My foot

This is really annoying.

My left foot, in the area right under the meaty spot just before the big toe on the bottom I have this weird "pulsing" sensation.

It's in a small area, like an inch or so long. starts from the back and moves to the front with peak intensity in the middle.

Not throbbing, more like a whooshing that feels like it makes the area numb for a split second.

Comes and goes.

Been giving me trouble sleeping and just feels really bizarre.

I thought it was maybe related to blood flow but does not seem to be synced to my pulse either in rhythm or timing.

Bueller?

Is back the heel and front the toes? Comes and goes at night only, or when you are walking on it too? Have you been doing anything out of the ordinary, new shoes, taken any trips? Is it better or worse in shoes?

There are two little bones that are under that big toe joint, at the ball of your foot. There is a high spot in the middle that runs parallel to the long axis of the joint, the crista, has two small bones, akin to your kneecap, but the miniature version, designed to walk on, that run in grooves on either side of the crista. Point is, you may have injured one of those bones, or the nerve that runs along the inside of your foot along the bottom.

Whooshing? That is a new one on me. Is it swollen or discolored? Any points that are tender? Are you diabetic, do you smoke?

Localized to the front half of Metatarsal.

Nothing new or out of the ordinary.

Mostly notice it at night when I'm not distracted.

Not swollen, no discoloration, no pain, no tenderness.

Not diabetic as of my last physical 8 months ago and quit smoking 4 years ago,

It's like this odd rhythmic throb but it's not "throbbing".

I describe it as whooshing because the sensation feels like a fluid movement from back to front with peak intensity in the middle of the range of travel if that makes any sense.

Freaky man, maybe a nerve impingement would give you symptoms like that, I suspect that the most without being able to look you over. How long has this been going on?

Don't think I know anyone in Lantana, Ft Worth or Dallas maybe.

Great now I have Lupus.

There is no pain associated with it.

It's hard to describe but feels like something moving under the skin.

Like a pulsing fluid.

Probably have a bot fly living in my foot.

Can't be gout, or he would be in too much pain to string together coherent thoughts and type them out. Ganglion cyst maybe.

Wow is gout that bad? I have heard it hurts a lot but I have no idea, thankfully!
