I have some pictures of his car at the track on Hallett, OK during a race from 1978. It was a good looking 911. I wish I had a scan of them I would post them but I would have to find those old slides first.

Well known by any Hawaii car racing enthusiast. The mechanics loved him because he seemed to be the only guy who knew how to shift a dogbox properly. (Early Hewland dogrings wore out like butter, so everyone else changed out their box after qualifying.)

One of his famous quotes (uttered to a friendly rival) "If I need some s**t from you, I'll squeeze your head."

I always thought the Interscope 935 driven by Fields and Danny "onthegas" was the baddest of any 935. It just looked the business.
