Laptop charging issue
4 month old Lenovo. Suddenly decided to stop charging from the AC adapter. Windows 7 op system. The laptop detects the AC adapter being plugged and will run with the battery removed.
Searches suggest, removing the ACPI and AC Adapter in the Device Manager and rebooting. I did that, the old drivers came back, I next tried to search for updated drivers....message came back that I HAD the latest, query on the drivers showed them as 2006 vintage. 4 months old and under factory warranty. I use it every day and would prefer to fix myself. Any ideas?

Have you tested the power supply?

That's my thinking.....the retailer ordered a replacement. Of course they don't stock it.

It was the battery. Covered under the one year warranty. Since then I have upped the warranty to three years with home service. $149. About what a new battery would cost. I now can deal with the manufacturer instead of the retailer.
