Safe place to stay in SLC?

Not this again… I’m heading back to Moab (with friends this time) on Friday.

I plan to have 8 dirt bikes on my flat deck trailer. They will be chained and locked but we’ve been thru this before. https://forums.pelicanparts.com/off-topic-discussions/1169760-best-way-lock-3-dirtbikes-back-truck.html

Where is a safe area to stay with these parked on a trailer for 1 night? Am I better off staying in Provo or one of the other small towns nearby?

We are coming in on 15 from the north.

Know any pilots in the area?
A cousin has a side gig delivering new RVs to dealers, and was thrilled to park for a night inside my hangar, behind the airport security fence.

One of our crew is a commercial pilot flying into SLC on Saturday and meeting us there…

He has no hanger there.

Tarp your load so it is not easy to see what is in there and stay at a well lit Best Western or Hampton Inn, parking very close to your room. We have parked race cars in these locations for 20 years and none have been screwed with. Always a first time though right...

Utah Motorsports Park might allow you to park them inside the gates overnight for a small fee. Haven't been there in a while but they were good guys with active night security.

Those Mormons have no shame…

That said, valet park it at the highest end hotel you can afford and leave it out front.

That would have been great… what riding do you plan to do there?

Thank you. We are already in Moab. And hopefully will be able to drive straight through to home in a single shot when we leave.
