No Place for this old man

The car too.

This is a 1/2 hour dealer info video on the new 350GT Mustang. More tech info than any I've seen so far. Even if you hate Mustangs, might be worth a peek...for the yoga pants.

Come back Paul. I actually owned a Mustang GT recently, and I plan on getting another one.

Ehhh...too big, too loud, looks too much like a million other Mustangs. Nice car for someone, but not for me.

I'm seriously considering a new GT350. It seems to have everything I want in a car.

Should a man turn away from a fantastic large pair of breasts simply because they look like a million other breasts? I vote no my friend.

Good golly miss Molly. 5.2L American V-8 with a redline of 8250. Something like that was my dream as a teen.

You're going to 'walk' a 520hp car?

"For the oil pan we actually integrated the pan, the baffle, the pickup tube, and the windage tray, as well as the gasket, all into one single composite assembly. The result is an oil pan that . . . . . . . .. . . is very expensive to replace and will keep our parts division in the black for quite a while."

I think it's cool! I like all the MMP shots too.

They just allowed journalists to drive it in the last week. Sounds like one hell of a car.

2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 / GT350R First Drive – Review – Car and Driver

When they start showing up used, I will own one. Ford had two GT350Rs at my local car show last week, they are spectacular.

For the weight of the stang 500 hp just isnt going to take out the mighty turbo in my 2200 lb coupe. From 3rd gear 3200 rpm I've left countless M5's, AMGs, Caddie V series, and even pulled away from a ZR1. (just to the top of 4th, ran out of real estate) not worried about a 500 hp stang.

Guys, it seems dealership greed is saving me from myself. Not all Ford dealers are getting these. It seems you need to "be somebody" to be considered. That, and be willing to pay a bundle in "additional dealer markup". Hey, how much horsepower do I need to get to the pool hall and back? Still, the GT350 is one hell of a design for Ford...

I did think the gearheads here might enjoy the mechanical details given in the video.

Rodsrsr? There is a guy who posts on the Bullitt board who might be able to pull with your modded turbo. Just an '08 Bullitt with a few bolt on changes... Click here, then on the video. To me, that's insanity...but to each his own.

That GT350 looks cool, but why are they so fat?

3800 lbs is the best they could do.

That's over 1,000 lbs heavier than a '72 911S.

700 lbs less and even I'd look at the Mustang.

Curb weight on a '72 911S was listed as 2440 for a non sunroof coupe, which mine was. I agree, it's sad that today's cars are such porkers. I'm not familiar with the weight of today's P-cars, but they don't look skinny to me.

I think part of it is sheer size.

Why do these "sports" cars have to be so huge?

The new 350GT and the current 911 would be awesome if they could be shrunk down to 7/8th size.
