Fried clams in mid 70s land yachts can drive like it's a sports car?

Plausible -yes. About a plausible as a Lincoln MkIV handling like a 914.
Not that I wouldn't love to own a tricked-out MkIV and a tire wholesaler to keep rubber under it. I think no less skill is required to drive a barge at its limit as is required to drive a 911. Sure there is a lot more noise and tire smoke. But is not the Wild Hog blindly crashing and banging through the woods just as deserving of respect as the fleet-footed Rabbit?

Fried clams taste better in a mid 70's 'land-yacht' than in a sports car, maybe..

Mid 70's....surely they'd be those now elusive bearded clams. Although, found in plague proportions in France.
