I just edited and existing alarm to 10:35PM and it worked fine. I have not tested an unedited alarm.....

The update-info to 9.0.1 tells it corrects an issue with the alarm not always working :-)

I already upgraded to 9.01 and this morning, no alarm.
No sound at all. Rebooted and all seems ok now. I'm curious if i'll be up in on time tomorrow...

A one time power-down, power-up seems to be the approved fix for these issues.

My alarm is still making the noise. When it went off this morning, the screen didn't come on, but swiping turned the alarm off.

ANYTIME I have any issue at all with an iPhone, I reboot. It is just a little computer. Apple fan boys will proclaim all Apple products never ever have problems. It ain't so. Like every programmable computer on the planet, it needs a restart on occasion.

I used to be an Android diehard. About a year ago I got an iPhone 6 plus. I updated to IOS 9 the other day and 9.0.1 this morning. Since I updated to IOS 9, this is the first phone that's ever actually had a good, working auto-brightness function. Some of my old Androids would occasionally have a different screen brightness, but no phone and no code has ever worked like it should until now. It's pretty cool.

The big concern I have with smart phones and stuff is that they all come from our good friends, the Chinese.
When I think about our good friends the Germans, who have been programming millions of cars to cheat emissions testing, I wonder if I'm being paranoid when I entertain a sinister notion of what all this electronical stuff may have been programmed to do. |

If the phone had a "hidden" software feature, wouldn't it be wiped on the first software update?

It seems only if the software update completely wiped out the old software and installed from scratch the hidden features would go away.
