Son's car and house keeps getting egged

How much does it cost to paint a car and how much damage does there have to be for it to qualify as a felony?

The wife's SUV got egged a few years ago, but the paint was already all burned up at the time, so not such a big deal.

Go old school and handle it yourself. Don't waste your time with a LEO, nor waste theirs.

Old neighborhood, problem as OP and also neighbors had spray graffiti damage, vandal cars, etc. Things going from minor to aggressive vandalism within a short 3 or 4 months. Leo tried a few nights of cruising though and only once parked, under a street light. Apparently for the punks to take notice. Tactic was useless. Regardless of taxpayers expense, the law won't use the resources for petty stuff.

A subsequent evening, camped out on a lawn chair behind the shrubs. Punks spotted down the block near a street light. Anxiously ready. Into the side yard they come. Able to grab one and pinned down (use your imagination). A little chat....hehe... and release. Fifteen or so minutes later, punk's mommy (trashy and drunk in her car) comes to the front driveway, threatens and yelling whatever. Wrote her plates down. Told her to remain here and let me call the local polizei. Further mentioned it would be good for her to dry up behind bars. She shut up and left. Successful result with zero problems on that street. Moved on... thank goodness!
