Amazon Black Friday Week Deal(s)
Amazon has started their deals for Black Friday Week.
I was looking through their upcoming Lightning Deals this morning and came across this one. I know there are model builders and VW fans here. So, I thought I would let you know about this one. I will be making it a point to NOT to shopping for anything at all this week - on Amazon or anywhere else.
I'm sick and tired of the annual expectation that I should become part of some brainless mob whipped into a frenzy of orgiastic consumptionism just so some geegaw hawkers can line their pockets under the guise of "holiday spirit". Bah humbug to that! I'll be spending time with family and friends, taking it easy and enjoying getting caught up on a few projects at home as we move in the "holiday season". Shopping of any sort is absolutely NOT anywhere on my agenda for the next few weeks. If things keep up I'll be catching a few choice waves here and there too - surf has been decent as of late. |

$25.95 is the everyday price. It sold out at the lightning price. Unfortunately, I missed the deal so I do not know what the sale price was.

We will shop REI this week. ONline since there isn't one close. Since they are giving the employees Friday off with pay I figured they deserve some of my money.
The van is pretty cool.

Black Friday makes me sad. Thousands of people skip spending time with their families to stand in the cold for hours, fight with strangers, and save a few bucks on cheap consumer products. That pretty much epitomizes everything that is wrong with our society.

Ha. I particularly enjoy laying around in sweats with a Bloody Mary while all the whackos are fighting crowds to blow their rent money on all the crap retailers didn't sell off last year.

I won't spend a dime on BF. I'll do my cooking ingredients and booze shopping tonight at about 11pm. BF marks the beginning of the 6-8 week period where I make a concerted effort to not step foot in a retail store other than for booze or groceries.

We went to the store yesterday and it was already busy can't imagine what it will be like tomorrow. I do all my shopping online, if I was to buy anything from the Black Friday sales, it would be online. I much prefer shopping in my underwear on the couch.
