Now.... as a drunk ppot peanut gallery poster- I have one suggestion- that may work, or may not.-
Perhaps flip the bars upside down so instead of a 2 inch rise, they become a 2 inch drop bar- or something to that effect..



Just a thought- which may or may not work or even be worthy-

Since I can't leave well enough alone, the next fabrication project is installing a caplier in the rear triangle using the sprocket as a disc. The sprocket should be an easy polish/machine to give a nice smooth surface and will see a lot less duty than the front.

The disc is 6.47mm thick and I would need a caliper to fit over that with a space between the pads of 6.5+ when open. Any one know of a direction (besides hell) to go in sourcing a motorcycle caliper?

Before you do that, maybe make sure your will is up to date, and your insurance fully paid-for. After that, welding a caliper bracket into the rear triangle sounds pretty sketchy. Using the sprocket as a disk sounds even more sketchy. But I guess if you find caliper for some sort of enduro bike, that might fly.

I would think I would do a cleaner install/fabrication than that. The vid is a true "Hold my beer and watch" episode of Trailer Park Boys.

Just looking for ideas for more brake than the current coaster brake. The front disc worked out very well with off the shelf parts.

What about drilling the sprocket, spacing the disc out so the caliper fits between the sprocket and the frame. Welding the mounts doesn't seem a problem. The big issue is the fitment of the caliper between the sprocket and frame.
