Wood/air flame is about 2000C or 3600F.
Incredible amounts of heat. Sometime I make paella on a pile of wood logs in the fire pit, and build the fire a little too hot. The steel paella pan will turn gray. When I squirt cooking oil on the pan, it bursts into a fireball. Hard to cook the meat under those conditions.
