Three dollar note.

I really like it. Nice color, fits my hand perfectly, great for buying drinks with.

I still have one of these hanging around somewhere, left over from the 1990s.

It was very nice. 25 to 30 degrees celsius, that's about 85 F. Crystal clear waters, coral seas with tropical fish.

They are quite clever. In Rarotonga there is only about 12,000 permanent people and about the same number of tourists at the same time. They run their own parliment, police force and control their own fisheries area keeping out the Chinese and dirty Russians.

Rarotonga is famous for their pina coladas, so buddies from school days plus wife/GFs rode around on scooters snorkeling then enjoying pina coladas at hte beach bars

Why are the Russians dirty? No bathing facilities on board?

Yes the Cook islands are beautiful. I was there more than 20 years ago for an overnight stop.
You'd be surprised at home much fun you can have in one night. I'd bet it hasn't changed much.

slightly OT, but I've lived in the US since '93 and just saw a $2 bill for the first time. Never knew they existed.
Have you seen the $1 coins? Eisenhower, Susan B. Anthony and Sacagawea.

You can get drinks at a beach bar for $2! In Hawaii, it'll be at least $12.

Absolutely great diving in Fiji Peter, loved the soft corals there. Chilly water tho.

Ah the Cook Islands Bill. So nice. And some of the best and fastest dancers in Polynesia.
Was there during the build up to a big competition . Couldn't get away from the drumming.
It was great.

Cheers Richard

Another thing that was a bit of a laugh; no one wore a helmet on motorbikes and the speed limit is either 40 of 50kmh that's about 25 to 30 mph. But our convoy of scooters could ride around the whole island in less than an hour. Dress code, even at the luxury resorts is Hawaii shirt.

Bata sandal. Ha, must be good

Actually we were flip flop sorta riders. One guy did a minor fall off, or rather, a fall over. GF was riding a scooter for 10 days as a way of her getting her sea legs and deciding if she's buying one back home as a cheap commute and park option for work.
