The formatting of the card is not ideal.
I think he saw "1st" and "2nd" and just read that.
The winner's name is located on the other side of the card, under a different font.
All 3 titles should have been in the same column with the same font.

So your job is to MC hours of a spectacle of a pageant, build up the suspense and to finally announce the winner in climactic finale which means everything to the hopeful contestants who take this stuff very seriously.

Of course the normal thing to do is simply and quickly glance at the card?

I could make the mistake and so could a lot of other people but NOT if it was my job to NOT do exactly what Harvey did.

If the TelePrompTer was wrong that's on them, and for him to take the blame alone is actually pretty classy. I can't say I watched it but after seeing the pictures I think he "went rogue" and got it right the first time :)

Because I am not gay and I am a guy! Beautiful women in bikinis and nice dresses!

But I tend to get a bunch of gambling going and I thought Miss France was going to be given it, but Miss "can't answer a question" USA blew it throughout the night, costing me the pool of money! The person that picked her as a choice for the end, kept getting points and because the they had Australia, they took home the money!

Yes Steve I hear is coming back next year to cause more emotional stress! International incident is what I called it! Maybe he can announce the results of the Presidential Election next, to get some practice in! Maybe not a good idea!

I think Steve and Miss Colombia should sign up and get a package deal on therapy!!!!

Mr. Harvey working around all those beautiful women for hours?

I believe the saying is "There is only enough blood in the male body to operate one head at a time..." ;)

I also think Steve Harvey is a great guy... and I don't watch beauty pageants, if I want to see girls in bikinis I can just walk down to the beach.
