Coolest $20 tool i've bought in a LONG time

This just in from Amazon. A $20 usb cam with led's. This puppy is awesome.

Pic is a box of large paper clips just to give an idea how close it can focus. Got this after watching a youtube guy, chrisfix, do a test of fuel system cleaners. he scoped each cylinder, ran the stuff then scoped again. Awesome gadget for $20! Plugs into USB port on PC. The wheel you see is for adjusting brightness of the LED's. ![]() ![]()

Have one of these too as well as a shorter one with a more rigid yet bendable neck. Both are hugely handy for checking piston tops and valves via an engine's plug hole and ports. Also great to check for rust in sills, condition of a petrol tank... The list is endless!

they are cool! bought one similar to this month or two ago around $20 also. works great but can't get my cat to swallow it.. for testing purposes only of course. about a 15ft(5m) cable. short focal length though. sharp video within a couple inches. you can watch live or record

I am going to the butt head to derail this thread. Thanks goodness its made in China for only 20 bucks. None of you, myself included, would never buy this if it was made in the US due to the cost.

It would be nice to poke the camera down the spark plug hole. I'm always curious how much carbon is in there and whether I need to drive it harder or not.

Man, this is exactly what I wanted - I was wondering just the other day if I could pick up something reasonable to check a hidden body cavity in my Fiat.

I would have killed for a borescope a few times in my wrenching career. Back then it would be a fiber bundle for $500 which you'd look through directly.
