Elissa

DAY 73 Elissa Hase has been trying to tell friends a little at a time before I posted, but she will need a lung transplant. They are starting the evaluation process to see if she is a candidate. The process is very long and detailed. In her favor, her other organs are doing great. No liver, kidney, or diabetes. ENT looked at her today and shows no sign of polyps or sinus problems. CT scan shows her lungs keep improving, but she still is running a fever from this past weekend. Therefore, another round of different antibiotics trying to figure out what bacteria is the problem. CO2 levels went up to 65, so more time on the BiPap. She is having a more forceful cough that hurts. Looking into P-stim, Pulse Stimulation Treatment, that Jason Jordan recently used to control pain instead of narcotics and suggested for Elissa. AND She still has migraines after injections, but it could be from many factors. Still riding the roller coaster with Elissa.

I can only imagine the strength you all need to muster. But apparently you are able to do so. All blessings!

On a serious note, don't know if Tweeze comes around here anymore, but let her know that some Pelicans wish her and her whole family the very best too during very trying times....

Haha... We aren't hitched actually. I've just taken to using the term FIL as its easier than saying, girlfriends dad. Also gets me less sideways looks from medical professionals as I'm taking him to appointments... And ya she doesn't get around here much with him being here its pretty busy. I'll pass on the warm wishes!
