Can you use a Smart TV a a PC monitor???

Maybe this is a dumb question but here goes..........

Can I plug a flashdrive into the one of the USB ports on a smart TV and see the images without a PC hooked up?

I have a wireless keyboard and mouse on my coffee table at home, and can work just fine with the 42" with HDMI input. What I have not tried is using the Blu Ray player as an input device (flash drive, SD chip, etc etc.

Generally yes, there should be a media viewer.

Been fairly standard for any TV with USB for years now.
