There are several side stories i the making. When I saw Rogue I was hoping the further adventures of Rogue Squadron.

I've been watching Star Wars: The Clone Wars (TV Series 2008–2015) - IMDb 3D cartoons.
Lightweight and popcorn substance super-fast plots.
Flashy kung fu visuals.
Some of the background graphics are amazing, and on par with the official theater series or better.

Is this a sequel to the force awakens? Or an offshoot movie?

Either way, looks better than TFA. Just don't ruin the franchise to be PC.

I understand that some of you only know of the movies that have come out but the Star Wars franchise is so much bigger. There are more stories, books and the Clone Wars cartoon that fill in some back stories. Rogue One falls in line with these.

I, for one, am looking forward to Rogue One.

Why would they have the same leads in a movie that takes place some 30-40 years earlier?


I loved how it looks EXACTLY like the original movie. It does not look like the Force Awakens, it looks real. And, being an original story means it will be interesting, instead of a JJ Abrams 90% photocopy of an earlier movie...

Ok, I have an unrelated question: In "The Force Awakens", during the opening title crawl, there is mention that the map to Luke's location was found by an "old ally", and that Leia sent her bravest pilot to Jaku to retrieve it. I see there is an old man in a village who hands a talisman type object to the pilot. Is this old man the old ally? Was he in the other movies? What is his name?

My understanding is that Disney plans to release a new Trilogy film every other year and a stand alone single film in the other years. Rogue One is the first of the stand alone films. Get ready for a new Star Wars flick every year!

I for one appreciate the female leads, I just hope they don't take it too far overboard so we have to have a female, minority, transgendered, vegan with fibromyalgia as our next lead.
