Internet and/or router problem

Hi gents. Starting a couple of days ago, when I sign on to the interweb, I can only connect to certain websites like Facebook and Yahoo. I can not connect to these forums, my banks, nor my email server. I have a Netgear AC1900 cable router from Cox and I am connected to the router via a direct line. Unfortunately, I am using windows 10. I called Cox support and the gentleman said to go to control panel, go to internet options and delete history, reset security to default, and reset IE to its default settings. Most of the time this seems to work but normally I have to restart my computer for it to work.

It seems I have to go through this damn protocol every time I want to sign in. Does anyone know what I need to do to make it one and done?

Thank you so much!

When you say you "can't connect" - what is the error, exactly?

I can go to or open Facebook and Yahoo. However, when I try to go to say chase.com or wellsfargo.com or here, the new page just says unable to go to that page or check my internet connections, etc. Thanks

I ended up doing a Google search and found the fix on Youtube. Thanks, Gent's!
