What do you think of the Honda Element?

I kept seeing teaser commercials for this thing. I think I like it, but might have to see it in person first. Comments?

I think it's cool, in a 'thing' sort of way...

Like it. For the right phase of life it'd be perfect.

Resonably unpretentious looking thing. I would rather be driving one of those than Porsches offering in the SUV market.

Another marketing sop to the so-called "Gen-X'ers".

The only thing that worries me about that car is the side-impact resistance. I'm sure the engineers have built in protection to this car, but given that there are no B-pillars, it must greatly effect the side impact vulerability.

But: I wonder what the towing capacity of that thing is....

Just my $0.42

I think the styling looks pretty hip... might be a fun go anywhere machine. But for the price, one could always have another p-car.

Honda's marketing seem to think this is the perfect car for the poorly informed male snowboarder who can't get girls, and has a small bladder. . . .

Good marketing. If you shop in a trendy store and are ""EXTREME"" Dude, you need one NOW!.. Who cares, it's Fugly and is just another attempt to offer choices in the s.u.v market.. oh did I say Market again?.... it's not a great vehicle by any standards it sucks. If you disagree with me, guess what? I don't care this is my opinion.

I saw one yesterday. Looks like a WWII ambulance in miniature proportions.
