Love the bubble top. Rare bird, for sure....

That '23 looks like a Monogram model all grown up. Right down to the split wishbones and the dog dish hubcaps....

How can you tell from the photo that it's an iron block? Which it does not look to be...

I believe it's a 6.2 aluminum block LS3 with a zillion $$ of chrome. Not real sure.

A couple of more pictures. BTW I think the bottom side of the bonnet should be white IMO

Any chance you can get some shots of the interior?
The car is absolutely stunning.

The interior is really nice, but I didn't get any pics and now the car is gone back to my friends garage so I might not see it again for awhile.

This showed up today:

They went to aluminum blocks half way through the 2000's, only the 4.8l retained the steel block. I think the 6.0l did too. 5.3 went aluminum. So it could be a 4.8/5.3/6.0, or ls/lt whatever.

I don't understand why put an LS3 in and make that cover for it. Looks like it's hiding a blocky truck intake. A lot aftermarket companies make beautiful composite, and aluminum intakes.

Looking at the pictures I thought the LS3's came with the L99 water pump on the other side of the pulley, and the fuel inlet is on the drivers side? Looks like truck pulleys, and f body water pump, or possibly an ls1?

I have messed around with the truck/ls engines for my 928. A lot of configurations to make it clear. I currently have a spare dressed 5.3l on the engine stand.

You don't want to see this thing. It's a 500$ junkyard 5.3 with a typhoon chinese knock off intake, and special oil pan. lol Very very ugly, especially with a "patina'd" *cough* used high lift cam... Very dirty... I'm saving it for a a cheap Chinese turbo build/experiment...

I just hate seeing Chevy motors, even newer ones put in old cars. Car looks nice, though! Would love to see a 389 or 421 in that car

A 389 Tri-Power would be right at home in that car...
