Tire Kicker: "Where'd you get those bumpers?"

Proud owner: "Made 'em myself!"

TK: "Never would've guessed"

Hideous on many levels.

I've never really liked late 70's Vettes, but in this instance I'll say "Poor Thing".

I used to work on a guy's Zimmer Golden Spirit that had that kind of style. Fox body, with an added in frame that stretched the stock front suspension out another 2.5 feet forward. I remember it took a lot of real estate to turn it around.

The Corvette looks kinda like a Dunham Caballista, which I'd never heard of until a minute ago.

We look back at cars from all other decades - 1920s,30s,40s,50, even 60s... and there are large majorities of vehicles with just beautiful design- even the 'mass market' vehicles of their days with great exterior proportioning.

The 1980's and 1990's sure had weird cars but overall there are still plenty of 'classics' from those eras. years.

But the 1970's? WTF happened man.

What. The. Eff.

Drugs? Nah, I'm thinking lead concentrations must've peaked in the 70's. Severe brain damage is the only plausible excuse.

"All four tires are brand-new, made by Goodyear with white rims and aluminum wheels."

I'm afraid I don't quite understand that... uh... fully. But nevermind, dude. I don't think you do, either.

I wish one of you guys who is close enough would go take this thing for a test drive, pretend the accelerator linkage gets stuck at close to WOT while approaching a bridge abutment, and put it out of its misery.
