I knew a guy who rebuilt a Subaru engine in his kitchen and the drawers where full of wrenches and welding rods. Don't know what was in the bathroom. I do know he didn't use the shower.

Kind of a one sided argument... I think most guys would not give a flip if a lady walks into a men's room (I have seen it happen a few times at concerts and sporting events where the line for the women's room was a mile long.)
Now a man walking into the ladies room? Not so much...

The problem is the people that take advantage of it and start taking pictures, such as the issue with the minor girl having a guy reach over the dressing room stall to take pics with his cell phone last week.
A lot of places have unisex or family bathrooms. Seems like an easy solution.

Now, if you have an a833 or Powerglide I would be OK with it, maybe even a C4, but not any of the mid 90s electronic 4 speed slushboxes.
