"Racist McShootFace": Could Make for an Interesting Pelican User Name
I'm sure this will end badly with a move to PARF, but these sure are strange times...

That could actually apply to all the above:
-interesting (and offensive) Pelican user name -thread ending badly -moved to PARF -strange times

Had it not been a pos weapon, it would have been worth bidding on.

I remember not that long ago the gun that Pat Garret used to murder Billy the Kid stood as "the most valuable firearm in the world". It was irrefutably documented as the actual gun that he used, his "Colt Frontier Six Shooter" (that was actually stamped on the barrels of Peacemakers chambered in .44-40 Winchester Center Fire). It sold at auction for some ungodly sum. Millions.
So, yeah, completely different situation - Garret kept that gun and used it his whole life, never thinking to profiteer from its notoriety. Even the buyer is presumably cut from a different cloth, with Garret's gun being historically significant. Zimmerman's is no more that "tabloid" or "pop culture" significant. Where a serious collector no doubt bought Garret's, some serious douche bag no doubt bought Zimmerman's. What have we come to?

I don't think any of the negative comments are related to the "incident"

Actually, it found him "not guilty", as in not proven beyond a reasonable doubt to that jury. There is no verdict of "innocent" in criminal trials in the United States.
Just curious; do you think that "the system" ever makes mistakes, i.e. finding innocent people guilty or guilty people not guilty? ![]()

It seemed to work fine for its intended purpose.

He may not be guilty, but he is no innocent. I find his judgement to be questionable, at best, and I doubt that you would ever find yourself in a similar predicament by your own actions.
I understand the law, and I do not disagree with the verdict, but he is no hero. He has a right to sell the gun. He has a right to his life. I wouldn't want him dating my sister though. |

Don't forget, his daddy lied on the 911 call and the friend admitted thst the punk went to his buddies home before going back and attacking Zimmerman. The punks own mother had kicked him out because he was always getting in trouble, plus, had he actually gone straight home from the store, he would have been home 30 minutes before Zimmerman stotted him.. Florida is better off without that criminal on the streets, but Zimmerman keeps showing what a tool he is.

The system may make mistakes...I wasn't on the jury were you? He got what was coming to him. The punk screwed with someone crazier than him.

He probably needs the money and maybe even a better gun. That's a junk gun. I don't know why anyone would want it, but he should be free to sell it for as much as he can get. He's probably not real employable these days.
