Such thing as a remote, wireless security cam?

I nothing about security systems other than that they exist. I've recently had a couple problems w packages being stolen from my door and would love to install some type of small, wireless camera w a motion sensor.

A hard-wired unit is probably not in the cards because I live in an apt. building and it would be in the hallway. In my head, I'm thinking something really small and easy to miss if you are a thief, plus inexpensive and maybe transmits to my phone? Am I dreaming here or does this exist? TIA as always.

Thanks but I guess I should have said, "works with iPhone." So many low cost products like this only work w Windows, which I haven't had since about 2002. I ran into the same problem w cheap boroscopes that show video on your phone.

Some of those products are great but designed for inside the home protection, which I don't really need. In all the years I've lived here, no one has ever rattled my door knob when I'm home, (I've rarely had anyone even knock on my door since it's a security bldg.). A burglar would either have to smash my door down or rappel in the window from the roof, both are pretty high-exposure for the thief.

![]() I need a little camera that is cheap enough so that I won't be crying if someone pinches it from the hallway, (I'd hide it the best I can), I just want to catch the package thief. I've thought about leaving some dummy packages at door w a hidden tracking device, maybe my old iPhone w GPS enabled(?)

Food for thought....they make dummy cameras - some with a blinking light even - that could fool someone tempted to grab your parcel.

			Check out Videofied

https://www.videofied.com/us/en/applications/residential/ We sell and install a version of this at work. It isn't a constant run camera, but instead a motion activated camera that will send the clip to your cell. Bill |

We've had a Ring door bell and it is GREAT! You need to sign up for their storage and will have all the videos saved on their servers. It lets me say high to my wife when she goes out to get the mail and it always surprises her. You need a very good wifi for it to work well.

Check out Blink. Lots of example clips of package thieves caught in the act. Seems low cost for what you get. Free cloud storage! Does not record continuous, only video clips. Not rated for outdoor use unless under a roof. Also, is not IR, but has a white LED light for dark situations. So, not stealthy in the dark, but maybe a bright white light will be enough to send them packing. Battery life is excellent. More features are in development. No affiliation, just a satisfied user endorsement.
