I have often thought of magic bus as a cover and always thought... "no way"- I would need 3-4 others to make it work... and slithered away in my own patheticness. To watch Pete pull it off by himself was great.
So your post got me on a hunt, and it took me to some good places... but I will submit a cover....overdone... however...like yours... if one even dare attempt it- you'd better have the goods to freakin' pull it off! Some of my favorites are from Robben Ford... he never plays too many notes and has monster tone. And I love the way he blurs the line between rock, blues, and jazz.
First... I love this little swinger... This one kills me... I'll never forget the first time I heard it... unbelievable power and tone... wait for it... One more for the road... lots of swagger and understated at the same time... doesn't really take off until 2:07...
