I used to work with an ex-hockey player, Roger Lemelin. He played for the Rockies for a couple years in the late 70's - Canadian guy. One of the nicest guys you would ever know. I guess when he was on the ice it was a different story. Anyone remember him?

I certainly would rather watch the group of young guys that the flames have now than that same old stagnant pool of talent that were associated with Jerome. I would have liked them to have a shot but unfortunately for us and for the Canadian networks with the broadcasting rights, there won't be a great deal of NHL playoff hockey watched north of the border. Perhaps our families will be happier though.....

Any thoughts on whether or not the Presidents Trophy curse will plague the Caps? I've been a Chokevechkin hater for a long time but the Caps sure look strong.

The Canadian teams missing the playoffs is not a statistical fluke. There are numerous issues that leave Canadian teams at a significant disadvantage in recruiting and keeping the best players.
Get used to it, most of the problems can't be fixed by the league.
