G'day!

![]() ![]() Melvin Rector was a gunner on the famous Memphis Belle (a film was made about this aircraft and crew). He returned to England for a visit, the first time since he left in 1945, where he passed away aged 94. He would have slipped quietly away but people turned out to honour and remember him at his funeral. Luke Hanrahan reports. LINK Salute!

Not many WW2 vets alive anymore. That was a fitting tribute to another hero. Lest we forget....
