Tesla overreaching?
Tesla seems to have an overreaching legal department.
A couple weeks ago, it was reported that Tesla is requiring Tesla owners clubs to participate in lobbying for the company. Tesla enlists owners' clubs to be lobbying army; insists on it, in fact Now it appears that Tesla is quietly fixing suspension problems while requiring owners to sign agreements to keep the failures secret. Tesla denies suspension issue and accuses blogger of lying | Ars Technica What executive in the company thinks this sort of thing is a good idea? I think that if I hand over $90,000 for a car, the company should be doing things for me, not trying to force me to do things for it. |
Elon Musk. In his mind, the world owes him something just because he exists.
|
Business starts out as a massive scam, sanctioned by the government, why would it not think it can behave like the government?
|
You don't have to do anything if you aren't a sanctioned club. I don't have a problem with it at all. If you want to be a Tesla sanctioned car club, you have to be on Tesla's side. Who wouldn't expect that?
I don't get all this hatred for Tesla. The guy is the quintessential American success story. I'm glad he's not just sitting on a yacht smoking cigars. |
Any of you haters want to go to Mars in 2025?
|
Is Tesla offering that trip?

After reading the alleged details of the suspension issue it appears to me that Tesla was not out of line.
Out of warranty, possibly 'abused', they pitch in 50% on the condition that the guy doesn't keep *****ing publicly about an issue that may not even be Tesla's fault. Does not seem unreasonable to me. |

Are we going to be FORCED to pay for others to go? That's the tesla way .... |
Rusted tie rod from living on a dirt road?
Sounds like growth pains from inadequate real world testing. |
I guess I'm the only owner here, I bought a Model S for my mother-in-law and it's a complete piece of s**t. Here is a picture of us dropping it off for the umpteenth time this year.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1465691455.jpg You can check the coordinates and time on the picture to validate it. They have an entire row of "dead" cars at the "ranger" shop that need HUGE batteries shipped from California. Along with every other problem you can imagine from door handles to sunroofs that rain on you. If you have ONE ounce of intelligence you'll not give this shyster a penny. |
Why would you buy your MIL a Tesla when you're constantly spewing Tesla is dead /will die here on PPOT? Don't you like her?

I'm really saddened to read this. |

Paying for the moon exploration is a long way from funding Musk's car factories.

I can't for the life of me, understand why everyone licks this guy's nuts like he's some kind of God.

It's called Virtue Signaling; and has been a snow-balling trend of the last decade, or so.
People want to signal that they too think that the idea of a future with free-power cars and easy trips to Mars exists; so they rail against the non-emotional pragmatists (those whom aren't impressed) to display their superior virtue. BTW, I'm all for Matt Damon going to Mars for real. I think that dose of reality would be awesome. --I should make some colorful wristbands for the cause. ...maybe even a ribbon. Perhaps, some sort of overlay for Faceplant avatars. |
