Jay Leno's Garage tonight at 10

...on C. N. B. C.

Still trying to figure out why four threads I created on this here have ended up in PARF.

Anybody have an idea?

I've changed the way I show the network name and taken out the "at symbol."

Here goes...

I am with Glen, DVR, caught the last 20 minutes last night because I did not know it existed, then set it up to record the series. I like that guy's attitude about cars.

Glad to see this becoming a real ongoing show. I enjoy Leno much more in the car realm than the TV comedy setting. And his collection is so diverse and interesting, should be fun.

Cheers Richard

Only way to watch it is to DVR. Way too many commercials.

It was only OK. The show perhaps targets the less informed about special interest cars. Consider it as a stop and glance for a channel surfer. Its far different than his excellent website and Youtube presentations.

Kind of liked the resto mod's, Tim Allen's 50's Ford sleeper in black w/ 700hp and dare I say Jimmie Johnson's C3 silver Vette.

It's listed to be on but all they're showing is Street Smart and Asian Market.
I guess CNBC in Canada can't air it.

I fell asleep during the debut, and tried again when the same episode aired last night. Could not make it all the way through before I started channel surfing.
There was about 12 minutes of total content (- highlights repeated after every commercial break-), and a three+ minute set of commercials every six minutes. The visit to Tim Allen's garage only left me feeling wanting more.
His you tube episodes are far better, and... there's no interruptions.

I recorded in on my DVR and skipped the commercials. I enjoyed the show. It is orders of magnitude better than the typical car show with people yelling and shouting about problems and the short deadline. Way better than American Top Gear (that is really not saying much).

I have it set up to record the series.

I e-mailed CNBC today. They replied in an hour and advised me Jay Leno's Garage isn't available in Canada but they're working on it.

Just watching Jay shoe horn himself into that dragster was worth watching for me . But seriously I thought the show was decent and will tape future episodes. Will have to see if the show gains momentum as they make more. It's much better than 90 % of the crappy hot rod shows where a can of black flat paint makes you an instant " car builder " !!!

It's on On Demand, and I can fast forward it, just not as fast as DVR recordings.

It's not bad. We'll see how it develops.

WOW... Just WOW. And no window nets????

I'm really glad no one got hurt but it could easily have been a terrible outcome.

WOW

Don't yank on a car you're not willing to crash. Good for those guys and glad they're safe.

I guess that just proves that you lose it when you get old. The guy has been driving a race car, (the same car), for over 50 years and he rolls it just turning around at the drag strip.

I totally remember that car from my childhood reading Hot Rod magazine. It was a crowd pleaser.

Looked like the rear was hopping and he went to turn and just tumbled it on over.

Also, bet Jay's producers check his belts better next time, much faster and that wouldn't have ended well as much as he was flopping around in there.
