Need to ship a Van

I need to get my Eurovan to Bend Oregon for a transmission repair. Going from Poway, CA to Bend, OR. Anyone used someone who they trust and had a good experience? So far reading on line, it's a crap shoot at best. Thanks, Dean

No one can fix it in or around Poway? No matter how much you save by shipping it North it would be offset by the shipping costs.

Why not pull the trans and just ship it? 300-400 lbs is a lot less to ship than the whole unit

Thought of that but I figure by the time I pay someone to do that and reinstall, it is about even. I am so sick of this, I just want it done one stop. Thanks, Dean

Update. Worst decision I ever made. I towed it there myself. Never do that again. It went ok, just slow. Now I hope they can fix it. Dean

Why was it slow? When I bought my 78 Westy I towed it home from Colorado Springs no problem.

Well, the EV weighs about 4400 pounds and add about 1000 for the trailer. Was towing it with a Ford Explorer 4.0 liter. Anything over 55 mph and it would get into a wobble and in the hills it war 35 to 45 due to the Explorer.

Dang!!! Is this your explorer? That's a tough haul. Good luck, I hope your van gets plumbed up. Sent via Jedi mind trick.
