there is a little up arrow (Sargent stripy thing) in the bottom right corner (on the task bar.) Click that, click 'customize' and find the item that you want gone, click "hide icon and notification"
That's the easy way. the hard way, involves, system restore and selective re-update.

Which task bar? In Google or what?
It's odd, when I view download updates I see the file (KB3035585) but when I switch the delete screen it isn't there like before. Edit: Found what you were talking about. I'll let you know if the popup comes back. Thanks.

You purchased a Ford Fusion.
Then, years later, the dealership tries to sneak into your garage, and swap your vehicle out for a faster hopped-up Fiesta S. But things like the radio and climate are now pay-per-access. It's not the same as what you owned before. |

Hmm...that is weird. "Work computers" are usually members of Domain/AD, and as such, exempt from nag screens. It is either a small company (using stand-alone computers), or your company sysadmin doesn't know what he is doing.

Turning off the nags.....Didn't work......
![]() The issue is, in short....I can see where the file snuck in/downloaded on 12/17/15. But when I go the Windows Update area to delete it, it disappears. KB 3035585 is the file name. Using the search function comes up with zero hits. Where else in my system can this file be deleted from? The file acts like a time bomb. Sat for six months and has now popped up 6 times since my first post on this subject
