When stay in the car means STAY IN THE CAR

Seriously.

Feel bad but WTF was she thinking?

"A woman was killed by a tiger over the weekend after jumping out of a car in a Beijing animal park to try to save her daughter from a tiger attack, local government officials said.

At least one tiger mauled the women on Saturday at Badaling Wildlife World in a section that allows people to drive their own vehicles through a Siberian tiger enclosure, the Yanqing County government said in a written statement.

Surveillance video that circulated widely online showed a woman exit a car, then walk to the other side of the vehicle, where she was attacked a few seconds later by a tiger. As the animal dragged her away, her husband and mother jumped out in an attempt to rescue her."

The article says that the dumb lady who got out of the car for no good reason was injured. Her mom was shown in the video getting out of the car to try to save her daughter. That second woman, the mom, was killed. People are just really that stupid.

Interesting that it was the mother (third person to exit the car in the video) that was killed, not the gal being dragged away.

That's cold-hearted man, ain't you go no compassion?

She had a family, I bet they don't want to hear about Darwin taking their mother.

People get run over by their own tigers all the time, they can't tell if a tiger is in park or neutral!

Oh wait, she wasn't a movie star? Never mind.

I got busted by a park ranger a few months ago for getting out of my car in Kruger. I did check for lions before getting out In all fairness, I had NO IDEA I wasn't supposed to be out of the car. There were no signs upon entering the park, no verbal instructions by anyone, and I didn't read the fine print of the materials they gave me, so I had no idea. The ranger came upon me as I was photographing a river bed. She told me to RUN back to my car, as she drove alongside me. I had seen a couple getting out of their RV at a watering hole earlier. Guess I'm used to Montana/Yellowstone/Glacier, where we have grizzlies everywhere and its no big deal to walk up to one and poke it with a stick

It is a CAT. Have you seen what your 10 pound house cat can do? A tiger is at least 20x the size.

I read somewhere the couple was in an argument.

What I don't understand is why you'd want to get out of the car as well, after your passenger is dragged off? Bare handed. Is it instinct? What is the plan doing that?

More like 60+x's the size

According to researches at the University of Edinburgh the only reason your domestic house cat does not kill you is you are too large.

Wow! It's very sad, but true, if you get out of your vehicle in a place like that, you're asking for trouble. I guess that girl's going to have many years to ponder her mistake now. Wild animals are nothing to screw with.

I walk in areas frequented by brown bears several times each summer. Intentionally. I know that the bears have no interest in me and as long as we don't meet up in such as way that they feel threatened, all is good. I take my pictures, they eat their salmon, we all go home. If I were to be in an area where there are large cats, I would have the same pants filling sensation I would have around a polar bear. Each views me only has a protein source and with very little risk.

Oh can't resist....

I am always hungry an hour after eating Chinese...no staying power....

Dennis

PS - the preceding was in totally bad taste (can't speak for the tiger's flavour experience of course), but I really, really cannot resist black humour.

PS - now a similar case happened with an African woman.....
