Garmin edge 25...pretty cool cycle computer!

Did my first ride with this little thing the other day. unfortunately cut short due to a flat on a major hwy that I really shouldn't have been on.

anywho i'm digging it. very clear screen, intuitive to use, love it. ordered a new HRM to link and will be trying that this evening.

best part is my phone isn't running strava or map my ride while i'm on the road. the importance of which is if you do get a good ways out and have mechanical trouble your phone is much more likely to be ready to go.

so you get back from your ride and then can link it to the garmin app which then can link to strava.

from a design point of view I think garmin hit it perfect. great look, nice and compact, super easy to remove and switch to another bike or just take with you for security.

I've got one of the Garmin 25s. I really like it. Very simple to use, VERY reliable, easy to switch between bikes, etc. I do not need nor do I want the computer to be anything but a cycling computer. Neither need nor want any other trail or mapping features. Just simple, reliable data.

Looks like you might be able to use it for running as well

Of course, a real cyclist would say: Running? Is your bike broken?

Looks nice and compact..... I'm a big fan of Strava on my Iphone, but they get kind of Pissy when I use it on a snowmobile or Dirt Bike and my average speed tells them I'm NOT cycling....Luv the Strava maps, but it does eat up the battery on the phone.
