lime rock race question

I saw a telecast of the Lime Rock Weatherteck race this weekend. Where were the DP cars? I'm thinking of going to RA but if they are not there, so what. Did I miss something in the race?. I thought the series were combined. Thanks.

Not all four groups run at every track.
IMSA Web site says all four classes will be at Road America.

Who cares about DP cars? The Show is GTLM (and GTD is ok too).

Agreed, could care less about the DP cars.

Yes, agreed. But if I'm going, I want to see the whole enchilada. DP cars add some interesting sights to the whole weekend.

I can recall going to an ALMS race there about 15 years ago, and the LMP1 cars weren't running. Just guessing here, but I'd bet part of the reason why top-flight cars are not seen at LRP is because it's too small of a track. It's only 1.3 miles long. There's only one real straight. And it's too crowded to have 4 classes of cars running simultaneously. Remember the uphill where Geoff Brahbam took off and went flying through the trees (before they installed the chicane) in a GTP car?
