9146
You have GOT to relax. Most people on this board are well aware of the history and significance of the marque and the glory days of it's racing program, which by the way happened before you were born.

Have you ever been on any other Internet Boards? I frequent Bimmerfest (BMW), ClubB5 (VW), Brickboard (Volvo), HomeTheaterForums (HDTV), and Club Zagi (RC Aircraft)... to name a few. People post relevant questions, then comments about just ANYTHING. Nobody gets their underwear in a knot!
This Board brought us together with the common thread of Porsche enthusiasm (you don't have to be an owner to be here). Any non-naive Porsche enthusiast will also enjoy looking at other fine automobiles... understandably. You should be happy we gladly accept all cars. This is a 911 Board - and you are driving a 914!

Hey, wait a second... this is a Porsche Board. We can't dare talk about R/C aircraft around here!

I don't know about you guys, but I've been raised near Germany most of my life and worship Dr. Porsche every single day just like a lot of other Porsche fanatics...But if you look at a Ferrari or a Lambo and don't agree that it is one beautiful machinery handmade by amazing craftsmen..you have some serious personal issues you need to deal with!!!
As for me I wouldn't mind seeing one parked in my garage right next to the 911!! Cheers!

Ooohh. That one stings. I tried to keep this whole discussion above the belt but, Sam, that really hurt. I mean, I look like a total schmuck in that picture. Didn't you have anything more flattering? There were a couple of good one's from the Angeles Crest run.
![]() Oh, and that TR looks like an oversized doorstop. Oh, I know, it's an airplane wheel chock - yeah, that's what it is alright. Man, this place is rough. But, let me commend you on getting behind a cause - flamin me. It's freshing to see Porsche owners once again coming together.

Sam, don't think that I'm upset. I think that it was a very accurate representation.

Marco, I’ve met you, that’s a very good representation.
You seem a little high strung, but of course very passionate, very friendly, and a good humored kind of guy. I don’t really think taking on the board right off the bat was the best idea. That doesn’t change my opinion of you from when I actually met you and I’m sure it would be that way for most of the guys if they had met you first. We all kind of wield the keyboard at times and that sure keeps things lively around here. And I liked your car a lot. If I were to buy a 914, and I would after I have a couple more 911s, yours would be the one I want. How about next time you film me on the way back down though?

I'm all for holding the camera.
![]() But, high strung? Who me? Naaaaaahhhhh. Okay ... maybe just a little. I guess it comes with always being the odd man out at Porsche events. Really, how many hot-rod 914s are there? I guess it's just my way of looking out for myself in a world full of 911 owners. Man those guys are dangerous

That photo is great! I'm still cracking up!
Be that as it may, if this indeed is Mr19146's (Marco's) image, his is what I've always thought a Porsche instigator should look like. (I even remember the shot being taken outside the Reel Inn right down to the facial expression. I thought: this is going to be a good shot, which it is...) Now, put a red beret and an olive-colored coat on him, and the "real" revolution would be immediately at hand...
