The Martian - Extended cut
If you read the book, it is worth it. There were some holes that were filled in...about 10 more minutes of scenes and extended scenes.
The only unfortunate thing: Ironman is still in the Movie.

Huh?
I saw the regular cut at the theaters. Very good movie. I'll happily watch it again, and will try to get the extended version. I haven't read the book, but hear that it's very good.

The book and the movie are improved by reading and watching both.

I have not yet read the book, but did see the "regular" movie release a couple of times. Yeah, that Ironman part was cringeworthy corn! I very much enjoyed the movie though.

There is no Ironman in the book.

OH, and Matt Damon was totally wrong for the part. He did OK, but he is not the nerdy engineering type. I would have imagined Chris Pine in the part much better.

Heartily agree. I read the book first and Matt Damon was not what I would have expected.
