Bummed for my son. One of his two cats, an adorable long hair calico, was just diagnosed with lymphoma. She had been not doing well for some time and was losing weight. The vet said that even with chemo, she would have maybe another 9-12 months.
He is getting himself prepared for the worst. |
This is Shaya. Her cancer is inoperable. She is only 4.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1663197168.jpg

So very sorry to hear that. She is blessed to have such a loving home, and to your family to be touched by such a beautiful little KitKat. Treat every day as a gift. And feel free to treat her with a big box of Temptations kitty treats. You will love the crinkle nose as she munches away. It will make your heart smile[emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
My wife and I feel really bad for my son. The picture was taken after he had gotten home (he lives in Santa Fe) after she had a blood transfusion. He said he is going to spend every moment he can with her. I can't even look at the picture with those big eyes.
He does have another kitty that he got at the same time. He is doing fine. |

Looks like you were stuck, Byron!
Update on my son's cat, Shaya. She seems to be responding well to the first chemo. He says she has been vocal and has a good appetite. |

But Cayman is just Cayman..http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1663713350.jpg |
Well, I have some good news about Simon. I finally got him out and took him to the groomer. I literally had to catch him, but was ok, when holding him, the ride over, he was very quiet. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1663902236.jpg
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1663902236.jpg It was very clear that he wasn't happy, but was very good when bathed and cleaned up.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1663902410.jpg But, it was very clear that he is very sad. Well, my sister is currently living with my aunt, and was told she could only bring one cat and her tiny dog, but my Mother talked to her sister, and she surprisingly said that I could take Simon to her house to my sister. The moment Simon was out of the carrier and in my sister's arms, it was very clear that it was the best for both of them. Turns out Simon is 19, my sister got him as a kitten and sent me pictures, you can really see a change in his expression. He is very happy now. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1663902954.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1663902954.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1663902954.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1663902954.jpg |

They are finally settling down after we were gone for two weeks on vacation. Had our son check in on them numerous times but they prefer hooman contact. The yowling was insatiable the first night letting us know how displeased they were with us leaving. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Oh, Simon is very pleased to be back home with the life he loves :)

Nice. I love Simon has found his human.

Apologies for bring bad news into this topic again, but my sons cat, Shaya, is not doing well. He took her to a vet where they confirmed internal bleeding. My son declined further treatment for her. He has brought her home where he spending as much time as he can with her.
My wife and I feel so bad for him and Shaya. |
Saying some prayers for you guys.

But I am starting to worry about him. |
