I think I saw a clip somewhere of Adam Corolla interviewing Wayne (of PP) about his 914. Seems like a serious car guy, but I had no idea he had that kind of cash. Other than a few Man Show clips and cameos on Fox News talk shows, I can't recall seeing him anywhere.

What do I do? I track down puppies that are appropriate to be used to make fur coats, purses ... that sort of thing.

That was awesome.

I'm also not a huge Carolla fan but you are right on... his non PC attitude plus his huge fan base would have made a great anchor for Top Gear America.
Just IMHO.

Also nice to see a guy with big $$$ doing what most of us ordinary guys would do with that kind of money... buying and enjoying some of the most bada$$ cars on the planet.

i used to listen to him and dr drew every night on loveline on my way home from the university library .

He was funny and entertaining, I didn't find out he was a car nut until at least a decade later

rusnak 08-25-2016 12:40 PM

The sad part of the video with Wayne is that the car is gone, Otto is gone, and many of the other mail order houses are gone (Automotion, GPR, Strasse, etc). It's almost poignant.

That's right, that car got stolen

never leave the keys in the ignition///

rusnak 08-25-2016 01:16 PM

Dont tell me that! I was always thinking it was stolen by professional ninja car thieves like Nicholas Cage in Gone in 60 Seconds.

edgemar 08-25-2016 01:18 PM

I believe the story is that the 914 was in a locked storage facility that was broken into. The keys were in the ignition or on the floor of the car.

So lame that looked like a really nice car.

Yeah, that's what I thought.

You like your privacy and anonymity online, don't you?

Gogar 08-25-2016 03:08 PM

Hey how about the both of you just PM or email each other your stupid dick swinging crap?

impactbumper 08-25-2016 03:12 PM

AC sucked all the time. He was never hilarious to intelligent people. His podcasts were subpar. Heck, as miserable as they are, even TG USA booted his ass. They recorded a show with him and saw how much he sucked, and re-shot the segment.

Kudos to him for being a car guy. Estimated worth $15M. But no need to sell how great and almighty he was. He sucked before, he will fade away soon

Because that would be besides the point. This little punk likes to post personal info about other members, (and usually untrue), on the public forum but likes his own privacy in the extreme.

I don't generally do PMs, unless I'm answering one. I don't want some personal relationship w the guy. But I'm happy to expose and document his behavior online. If it bothers you that much, talk to your therapist about it. Or complain to the authorities. I'm not overly concerned w your feelings, especially when you come at me like that.

I'm not "coming at you" Denis, you delicate flower you! I was just hoping you guys could cool it for this amazing Adam Corolla thread . ;)

I actually added that part to tone it down, it originally ended w the word, "feelings". :)

But yeah, it is an awesome thread. A regular tribute to the guy.

Carolla produced the movie about Newman's racing life, didn't he? It was a well done production in my opinion.

Newman didn't own the 935, I think Dick Barbour did.

And I think Bob Sharp owned the Datsun/Nissans Newman raced.
