Rocket Stick to Router?
I have a large number of service guys working in a customers plant, frequently ten to twelve guys.
We used to have a land line into their plant connected to our wireless modem/router, everybody had cheap high speed internet. Hidden SSID, password protected. That worked for five years. Now the customer has told us 'no more vendor land lines, their requirement is: Quote:
What does Verizon offer? I want to get a rocket stick, but I want to maintain the modem/router that I have, and I think the rocket sticks only work as multiple hot spots (up to five?). Any suggestions how to accomplish this without the land line?

When I lived in Romania, physical internet connections were rare. Most people had a router that either had the ability to connect to the cell towers (3G) or they had a USB port and connected a "stick" to the router.
I used a "MiFi. It can connect to a USB connection. I connected this to a USB to Ethernet device, and then to a router. Not elegant, but it worked. You might consider getting a Clear modem/router for this. I tried it, but the service was bad in my area.

When I relocate I will vote for you.
Can I save money by powering it with a VFD at night?

Red-Beard gets wood when you mention VFD's.
