F1 Pit crew question-glove with heat shield?
I looked around the web but didn't find a pic of what I saw during the race today. Maybe someone here can answer?
The camera showed a pit crew sitting during the race and I saw one guy had a shield of sorts on his right hand glove. I think it was the Red Bull guys but not positive. What is the purpose for it?

I believe its a GO board, in case the overhead red/green light stops functioning.

I saw it too. I figured it was some kind of communication device or a playbook like a quarterback wears. I really have no idea what it was.
