I worked my way through college detailing yachts at a marina. The job regularly required me to work on my knees. I developed what I thought was a small pimple on my knee-cap. This turned into a raging staph infection in about a week. And looked very much like Sammy's finger. Of course being a stupid teen, I waited until I could barley walk to see my doctor. When I did, he took one look and admitted me to the hospital immediately. I was in the infectious disease ward for nearly a week receiving IV antibiotics. They think the cause was an ingrown hair that became infected. They told me that if I had waited one more day, I likely would have lost my leg! Scary stuff!
Wishing you a full recovery, sammy! |
Tomorrow will be a month since this thing started, thot I'd throw in one more update.
It was Staphylococcus aureus, likely MRSA. Finner is still discolored, swelling is gone but when I accidentally bang it up agin' something hard, I realize it right away. But other than that it's all better: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1476726879.jpg |
Sammy, just be sure to AVOID bashing it against things. It will hurt a LOT less.
Just a quick tip. ;) |

Kinda reminds me of what dad used to say: "It'll feel better once it stops hurting". |
