New arrival coming but.....

Teasing here but my son and I bought a new toy last week that needs some interior work.
Anybody know where I might find this material?

More photos when it's here in my garage.

NICE! I'd love a 914. Never owned one.

Interestingly enough, I have never seen a brown herringbone interior. Custom maybe? Fred does yours have the same interior.

No, cant tell you what is was originally, looks like mine was all home made at some point . Looks like the material that bus seats are made of . Really thick, and super heavy. Same colors though .

Wow that could trigger a seizure....I'm trying not to change it much. The car is a survivor and pretty pristine. I would like to keep it original but I have never seen this interior before. The backs are good but the cushions are worn. Drivers side is bad.

Hey David.....nice score - especially if it's pristine....those are hard if not impossible to come by and when you do they fetch a pretty penny.

Fun cars!

When you are ready to reveal more, I'd love to know more details such as engine size and fuel delivery system, whether factory or not.

Plus any pics you'd like to share.

PS - I can see a 356 in your future....

Thanks Baz.. This will be the 5th 914 I have had. I love them. This car, a 1.8 4 cylinder, originally sold at the Autohuas in Charlotte NC. It was owned a short time and then sold to a German family in Cleveland Ohio where it was passed down twice in the family, making me the 4th owner in 41 years. It has been dry stored all it's life and never driven in the winter or intentionally in the rain. It is original on all accounts and get this.......no rust. Yep no rust ANYWHERE. the paint is original and in great shape. 61000 original miles. It has paperwork all the way back to delivery including the window sticker and original deal papers. All service records for everything from new until 2011 when it was put into storage in Cleveland where my son found it 2 years ago. he hounded the owner until last monday when to my surprise, the I got a text from him saying he bought it. When I asked him what he intended to do with it he told me he bought it for me to keep until at some time sell back to him. Of course now I owe him money so I'm selling the MGB.
More to come when it gets here in PA in the next week or so. Teaser photo....

VERY NICE SCORE, David! Tell your son he did GOOD!

That baby should be in a museum....as much as I hate the concept of garage queens....

Thanks for the backstory and pics.

Selling the MGB is a pretty good trade off I'd say.

Congrats again....absolutely beautiful car!
